Start from the top and work your way down, removing cobwebs and dusting surfaces.  Vacuum last.

Put a pillowcase over the ceiling fan blade and slide it off, trapping dust inside.

Fill a Pyrex measuring cup with water and heat in the microwave for a minute or two. Then simply wipe the inside with a paper towel for a quick and easy clean up.

To make windows sparkle, use a spray bottle containing water, a little vinegar and a few drops of Dawn detergent. Spray, wipe with a clean sponge, and then use a squeegee, cleaning the blade after each pass for a streak-free shine.
